To Sponsor Us
Posted by admin on: Thursday 03 April @ 19:44:50
chitchatathon writes: "If you would like to sponsor any of our marathon runners, you can either sponsor them in person and they will take your details on their paper sponsorship forms OR you can sponsor them online by going to / clicking on www.justgiving.com/karenceeney

All sponsorship monies will be collected and paid into the LLiswerry Runners Account - a single cheque will then be issued to the Spinal Injuries Association.

Any online sponsorship monies will be added together to go towards our club total of £1,500.00 (minimum for 2008).

Please give generously to the Spinal Injuries Association Charity, the work they do is invaluable and just spare a thought that anyone of our lives could be changed in an instance due to illness, road traffic accident or sporting accident.

Many thanks! Kaz"

Lliswerry London Marathon Runners Update
Posted by admin on: Thursday 03 April @ 19:44:38
chitchatathon writes: "Just a quick update on our Lliswerry London Marathon Runners for 2008:

Kaz has had to withdraw due to doctor's advice following a particularly nasty viral infection but can keep her place for next year; Jane's Mum is not very well and so Jane's attention has understandably been diverted to her family's priority and so Jane has had to withdraw, too; Kelly has had a slight accident with her big toe, but assures me today that she is still intent on competing (despite any pain she may have) - her training has been going brilliantly and she's on for a good time; Lee's training has been interrupted by a leg injury but I believe he's still on track for the big day; poor Turtle has been dogged by a viral infection, too, but is now on the mend and has been enjoying his training this last week; I saw Steve out doing a long run last week wearing his LRC long sleeve top and I understand that he too is on for a good time; and last but not least, Tim - when I last spoke with him, he said his training had been going well and that he was looking forward to the big day, and has already been busy raising his sponsorhsip money - well done! Tim and Turtle will now be running in orange/yellow SIA vests sporting the blue sonic hedgehog on the back. Can you please all do your best to support and sponsor these runners and to pass the word around about the excellent work done by the Spinal Injuries Charity. Good Luck Guys - We'll be there to support you on the day - just look out for the big Welsh Flag.

Many thanks! Kaz, Chris, Julia."
